Mary Kay Clearance

Who doesn't love all of the fabulous products of Mary Kay? Who doesn't love a good sale?

I'm moving out of state, I'm starting a new job, I'm having a new baby, and I'm remodeling a house! I haven't been able to sell as much as I used to, actually, I've hardly sold at all for over a year. Let's face it, it hasn't been top priority.

My sweet friend at Fabulessly Frugal let me advertise on her site! Although, it really is a great way to make some extra money....you should totally look into it. I've got to clear my shelves and eliminate another box to take over 2000 miles.

So, I thought what better way than to offer you a great deal on some of my in stock products!
I've got to make it a locals only sale (Boise, Idaho). I'm offering 50% off anything below, I've already listed the sale price. If you are looking for a sales consultant after you have fallen in love with these great products, you can log on to the website and just type in your zip code. It will line you up with an active consultant in your area! Thanks! H

Free Dental Care for Kids FRIDAY

Don't forget that this FRIDAY is the day that your children kindergarten to 8th grade can get FREE dental care. Give Kids a Smile is happening Friday Feb 5, 2010. Find a program in your area.

If you are in the Canyon County you just need to call your childs school nurse to get registered. There are still OPENINGS! I am working this event and our office still has slots avaliable. So if your child is uninsured and needs a dental cleaning or filling make the call.
Not sure how they are running the program state wide so you will have to call the Idaho Board of Dentistry (208) 343-7543 if you do not get help from your school nurse.

Not in Idaho?  Find a program in your area

Help for Haiti

This is a picture of a mother and her 4-day-old daughter, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, days after the earthquake. This mother went into labor during the earth quake.

I am sure many of your hearts
and prayers are going out to
those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

There are hundreds of organizations collecting donations and helping with the cause. Churches are always involved in these types of efforts.

My friend Ellen was telling me all about the efforts of the LDS Church here. Although much has been done, there is still in a great need. Church leaders are encouraging members to donate. You can donate HERE.

If you have ever taken our coupon class, you have heard us say that this is one of the reasons we coupon, "to be able to give to others easily with out creating a financial burden."

When our reader Kristina told us about the hygiene kits they are putting together I was super excited. I have lots of Shampoo and Conditioner that I got at Albertsons as a filler to do the diaper deal. Toothbrushes, I certainly have a few extra of those, and finger nail clippers are a great filler item for those of you doing RR deals at Walgreens this week.

So look through your stockpile and bring your donations to:

Five Mile Church of the Nazarene - 2701 S Five Mile in Boise
Monday- Thursday 10 am-3 pm in offices adjacent to the main sanctuary
Collection deadline Friday February 12th
or email our friend Kristina at kristina_home {at} mac {dot} com and she will come and pick them up from you. Thanks Kristina!

OTHER MOTHERS in BOISE (Fairview/FiveMile) is having a huge Halloween costume preview sale on Friday evening and Saturday. My sis and I went over there tonight and my jaw was on the floor seeing how much they have this year!! They had to use the empty space 2 doors down to put all the costumes out. Also, besides the costumes making their 2009 debut they are stocked with coats, boats and lots of winter stuff. That stuff has been and will be coming out daily. Then after Halloween is over the nice Christmas stuff will be making their way to the racks. And have you seen the Stomp Shop? The NEW thing at OMB?? Oh my gosh... ATTN: Mothers of Preschool/Kindergarten Aged Children!

One of our fabulous readers sent us the following email. I'll let her explain (and also let you know that I signed up my 3.5 year old. This is a legit thing and my other child's teacher worked with her last year at the grade school my children attend, so there are no worries!)... This is a LOCAL opportunity. She can only accept those in the Boise area, or those who are willing to drive to Boise.

Do you have a child between 2 years 6 months and 5 years 11 months? If so, I have an opportunity for you to earn $25 for less than an hour of your time. Pearson, an educational assessment company, is in the process of creating scoring guidelines for the DIAL-4 (Developmental Indicators for the Assessment of Learning), a test that is commonly used to screen preschool and kindergarten students to see if they have areas of specific need. In order to establish standardized scores for the DIAL-4, Pearson gives the test to a wide range of children of all abilities.

As a certified special education teacher in the Boise School District (currently on a leave of absence – new baby!), I’m compiling a list of names and demographic information of children who could help establish these scores. The children must be between 2 years 6 months and 5 years 11 months. Children who take the test will be paid $15 for a 30-45 minute testing session. Parents who take a 10-15 minute questionnaire will also be paid $10, for a total of $25.

After I submit names to Pearson, they will let me know if your child or children have been selected to participate in the study. Only children who are selected will be paid by Pearson for participating in this test. If you are interested in participating in this study, please fill out the following questionnaire. I will let you know in late September or early October whether or not your child has been selected to participate.

If you're interested, simply email me at boisetesting {at} gmail {dot} com and I will email you the application.

Sincerely,

Rachel Smith, M.Ed.

For the Locals: Jason Wolfkiel Benefit August 21st

How does this sound:

A fun evening with the fam on Friday, August 21st
Helping a family who desperately needs your help!

Sounds FABULOUS to me!!

If you recall, when we had our Pay it Forward Yard Sale, one of those who benefited from all the earnings was a local Kuna man, Jason Wolfkiel. But our little donation was just a drop in the bucket.

Jason is a 31 year old Kuna native who has been battling Familial Melanoma for 4 years. Sadly, all of the treatments thus far have yielded little results, and the cancer is back with a vengeance. His only option at this point is a treatment made available in Pennsylvania. It is an Immune System Therapy called Anti-CTLA. It requires a payment of $45,000 up front. Because of Jason's condition and subsequent treatments, he has been unable to work. His wife has gone back to work to support their 3 young children, but makes nowhere near enough to cover the cost.

So head over to Kuna High School THIS Friday night... eat some FAB FOOD (starting at 5:30), enjoy some rockin Bluegrass, bid on auction items and let your kids have fun at the carnival (starting at 7:00).

You'll have a LOT of fun, and help Jason get one step closer to the treatment he needs!!

FABULOUS IDAHO STATESMAN DEAL!

WE ARE THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE:
The FabuLESSly Frugal Idaho Statesman DEAL!

For the mere price of $3.00 per week, you will receive the daily paper, PLUS 4 EXTRA Sunday papers.

That is FIVE SUNDAY PAPERS
for only $3.00 per week!

This comes to .60 per Sunday paper
(and it's like the rest of the week is free!)

You won't find a Sunday paper ANYWHERE in town for that price!!

This is such a fabulously frugal deal,
we're calling it FABULESS!!!!

So here is the nitty gritty. In order to take advantage of this FAB DEAL, you have to prepay. You can get 52 weeks (yes, thats a whole YEAR of 5 Sunday papers delivered to your door!) for the up front cost of $156.00.

Is this a FIVE STAR DEAL that I want to LOCK IN as long as possible?!?!
YOU BET!

And you do realize that you will EASILY save that much money during your first month of serious couponing, RIGHT?!?!

Not ready to lock in a year
(warning: you may not be able to renew at this amazing price, and you'll be kicking yourself later!), you can prepay for 26 weeks and only spend $78.00 OR only prepay for 13 weeks and spend $39.00.

Again, I need to stress that you will most likely NOT be able to renew at the end of your period at this promotional rate! THAT IS WHY YOU'LL WANT TO SCROUNGE EVERY PENNY TO GET THE 52 WEEK SUBSCRIPTION!

FAQ's:

Q: I'm already a subscriber. Can I still get this deal?
A: YES! Just call 377-NEWS (6397) and tell them you want to upgrade to the FABULESSLY FRUGAL 7+4 deal! If you're already getting the paper 7 days a week, you'll just prepay $2.00 per week, and then you'll start getting 4 extra Sunday papers. SWEET!

Q: Why would I want to get the daily paper as well?
A: First of all, because it's part of the deal. Secondly, you're going to want the daily so you get the Albertsons ad (and sometimes DOUBLES!) from the Wednesday paper. Third, sometimes there are other coupons (like for Fred Meyer) that come out on Thursday or Friday. Fourth, the man in your life certainly won't complain about getting the sports section to read every day!

Q: What if I'm going to leave town?

A: You can just call the circulation department and put your paper on hold (although I'd still want to get my Sunday paper if I were you!). They'll extend the length of your contract by however many days/weeks you put it on hold.

Q: What about the weeks when there will be NO inserts in the newspaper?

A: We'll warn you so you can call and put your paper on hold for that Sunday. This usually only happens on holiday weekends. Again, your subscription will be extended!

Q: I've got a big family, can I get more than 5 Sunday papers delivered to my door?

A: YES! It will just cost you an extra $.50 for each additional Sunday paper you want. You want 8 Sunday papers?? Then add an extra $1.50 per week to your prepay amount!

Q: I can hardly wait, who do I call to get this FAB deal!?!!?

A: Just contact the circulation department at 377-NEWS (6397) and tell them you want the FABULESSLY FRUGAL 7+4 deal! Of course, when you tell them that FABULESSLY FRUGAL sent you, the Fab FruGALS get a small commission too. This is just one way to help support our site and keep us running!

So to recap:
  • Call The Idaho Statesman at 377-NEWS(6397) and ask for the FABULESSLY FRUGAL 7+4 NEWSPAPER DEAL and choose one of the following:
52 weeks of the daily paper, PLUS 4 EXTRA Sunday papers for $156.00
26 weeks of the daily paper, PLUS 4 EXTRA Sunday papers for $78.00
13 weeks of the daily paper, PLUS 4 EXTRA Sunday papers for $39.00
  • Then wake up Sunday morning feeling like a 7 year old on Christmas morning all excited to open up your paper and find all the coupon inserts your little heart desires!!
THIS IS HOW we are building our stockpile!

THIS IS HOW we are feeding our family for pennies on the dollar!!

THIS IS HOW we are making the most of the sales and promotions!

THIS IS HOW you can start doing the same thing we are!!

What are you waiting for???
Call The Idaho Statesman today (377-NEWS) and ask for the FABULESSLY FRUGAL 7+4
NEWSPAPER DEAL!!
