This is a picture of a mother and her 4-day-old daughter, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, days after the earthquake. This mother went into labor during the earth quake.
I am sure many of your hearts
and prayers are going out to
those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

There are hundreds of organizations collecting donations and helping with the cause. Churches are always involved in these types of efforts.
My friend Ellen was telling me all about the efforts of the LDS Church here. Although much has been done, there is still in a great need. Church leaders are encouraging members to donate. You can donate HERE.
If you have ever taken our coupon class, you have heard us say that this is one of the reasons we coupon, "to be able to give to others easily with out creating a financial burden."
When our reader Kristina told us about the hygiene kits they are putting together I was super excited. I have lots of Shampoo and Conditioner that I got at Albertsons as a filler to do the diaper deal. Toothbrushes, I certainly have a few extra of those, and finger nail clippers are a great filler item for those of you doing RR deals at Walgreens this week.
So look through your stockpile and bring your donations to:
Five Mile Church of the Nazarene - 2701 S Five Mile in Boise
Monday- Thursday 10 am-3 pm in offices adjacent to the main sanctuary
Collection deadline Friday February 12th
or email our friend Kristina at kristina_home {at} mac {dot} co

Do the stuffed animals need to be new?
Do we need to get all the items on the list? Or do we just donate what we want and they put together the baskets?
Just donate what you have! The students at NNU will be putting the kits together Feb 15th. They need the items the Friday before so they can go get any items they are low on.
Thanks to everyone!
The stuffed animals do not need to be new - just clean!
