Albertsons soda pop & tuna fish

UPDATED!

So, I stumbled on a way to get 10 free 2 liters with only 3 doublers (one ad) and thought you might try this instead. I bought 10 of the two liters for $12.00 and for some reason it took off $4.00 instantly, rather than the $3.00 that I thought it would (YMMV). So that made it $8.00. Then I used 5 of the -$1/2 MCs, making it $3.00. Then I used 3 doublers, making it $0. So I paid 30 cents for tax for 10 - 2 liters of soda. This is for Sunkist, A&W, 7up, Cherry 7 up and Diet 7up!

As far as the tuna fish goes - the product wasn't delivered like it was supposed to be today, so it looks like we'll have to wait for the next big tuna fish sale. (The tuna fish was only on the 4 day sale). Is anyone else bummed about this like me?

I got a call from the grocery manager at the 36th/State Albertsons last night. He has a special vendor coupon for -$1/2 on the 2 liters of 7 up, Sunkist, and A&W rootbeer. With this coupon and a set of doublers from the ad you can get 6 of the 2 liters for free.

If you buy 6 of the 2 liters per transaction:

Buy 6 @ $1.20 each = $7.20
Get $2 off instantly -$2.00
Use 3 coupons for -$1/2 -$3.00
Double 2 coupons for $1/2 -$2.00
Use 3rd doubler for the last $.20 -$.20
=$0 just pay tax again!

He also has some coupons that will make for free tuna fish, but the product won't be in for a few days. I will post as soon as the product arrives!

Bake Sale and Raffle Info

More Info on the Pay It Forward Garage Sale

Alright FAB readers, it is time to kick your generosity into high gear. Our FabuLESS Pay It Forward Garage Sale is rapidly approaching (but you all knew that since it is marked on your calendars, right? Right?) and we are still in need of your donations: your time, your awesome items to sell and your yummy treats for the bake sale. Go HERE for all of the info you need to help. I know most of you have read about how this sale came to be, but what you probably don't know is what is has become. Not only have we been humbled by the support and donations from total strangers, but we have also been moved to tears by the stories of struggling families sent to us by our readers.

One email introduced us to the Wolfkiel family. Jason Wolfkiel is a 31 year old Kuna native who has been battling Familial Melanoma for 4 years. Sadly, all of the treatments thus far have yielded little results, and the cancer is back with a vengeance. His only option at this point is a treatment made available in Pennsylvania. It is an Immune System Therapy called Anti-CTLA. It requires a payment of $45,000 up front. Because of Jason's condition and subsequent treatments, he has been unable to work. His wife has gone back to work to support their 3 young children, but makes nowhere near enough to cover the cost.

That is where we come in. This sale will also benefit the Wolfkiel Family! We might only makes a small dent in the fundraising efforts, but if we have a successful sale, that might change! And that success depends on you, our fabuLESS readers.

Dr Pepper at Albertsons! No limits!

If you don't have your fill yet of Dr Pepper, the 36th and State St Albertsons in Boise has a bunch left and they are encouraging you to buy as much as you want without limits tonight. They'd love to sell it all since the sale ends tonight. When I left an hour ago, there was a whole pallet full! Spread the word if you need any. Albertsons is open until midnight (at least in the Boise area).

About to Expire

When we teach our classes we tell our FABULOUS Frugal friends that we do not use every coupon. Just because we have a coupon does not mean we go buy a product. We hold on to our coupons until a good sale comes along and then you maximize our savings!
So what do we do if a good sale never somes along and our coupons are about to expire? If we really want a product that we have a coupon for we do one of two things.

1. Go to Winco or a store who's regular prices are less than our frequently shopped Albertsons and use the coupon there.
2. Or we would use a doubler at Albertsons to get closer to regular price at another store.
PS If you haven't noticed Albertsons prices are inflated. We never buy anything there at regular price!
