Do you have a child between 2 years 6 months and 5 years 11 months? If so, I have an opportunity for you to earn $25 for less than an hour of your time. Pearson, an educational assessment company, is in the process of creating scoring guidelines for the DIAL-4 (Developmental Indicators for the Assessment of Learning), a test that is commonly used to screen preschool and kindergarten students to see if they have areas of specific need. In order to establish standardized scores for the DIAL-4, Pearson gives the test to a wide range of children of all abilities.**UPDATE**
As a certified special education teacher in the Boise School District (currently on a leave of absence – new baby!), I’m compiling a list of names and demographic information of children who could help establish these scores. The children must be between 2 years 6 months and 5 years 11 months. Children who take the test will be paid $15 for a 30-45 minute testing session. Parents who take a 10-15 minute questionnaire will also be paid $10, for a total of $25.
After I submit names to Pearson, they will let me know if your child or children have been selected to participate in the study. Only children who are selected will be paid by Pearson for participating in this test. If you are interested in participating in this study, please fill out the following questionnaire. I will let you know in late September or early October whether or not your child has been selected to participate.
If you're interested, simply email me at boisetesting {at} gmail {dot} com and I will email you the application.
Sincerely,
Rachel Smith, M.Ed.
