Reader Becky, who is not local to the Boise/Meridian area, got a hold of some extra doubles, gave them to her sister to give to me to share!!!

We decided the best way to handle this was to have a quick 24 hour giveaway!!! If you received some Albertsons doubles in your Sunday paper, then you'll want to enter this giveaway! (If you didn't, then that means your area did not receive them and these won't work at your store).

SO - if you could use some doubles, hurry and enter! We will pick FOUR WINNERS at 2:30 MST on Thursday March 4th!

Each winner will receive
NINE SETS OF DOUBLES!!!
WOOT!!!

If you want enter, this is all we ask...
  • Leave a comment telling us how couponing has blessed your family.
It's that simple. Winner will be announced at 3:00 MST on Thursday 3/4. Wondering how to claim your prize if you win?
  • The winner can either come to my house and pick up the doubles (I'll give you my address once you've emailed us to claim your prize - SW Boise)

couponing has blessed our family tremendously. I am the bread winner in my home and I have 4 teenagers in the house. They eat alot of food and I am able to give it to them for less money. Thanks a million for all your work. It is very much appreciated.

I have saved so much money with couponing over the last few months. I started couponing the "real" way in October and look at my purchases with a new perspective. I don't care that I get weird looks when I have my binder with me. At least I am saving my family money! I check your site multiple times a day (at least every two to three hours). My husband thinks I am obsessed! lol

I started couponing in October 2009 and have been able to cut our budget by $300. I now have a nice stockpile and feel so much relief in knowing that my family has the basic essentials at a time when money is very tight. Thanks for all you do with your FABULESS information.

Yay!!!! I love doubles!! I just started couponing, but it has helped so much already! I've been able to get items for my family that we normally don't have the money to buy...like fruit snacks!:)All the great deals on groceries has helped us make ends meet without using credit cards! Now that's a blessing!

With four children and two of them being growing boys, it was hard to stay within the $350/month food budget. Now, with coupons and the twice the value coupons from Albertsons, I am able to stay within my budge and build my stockpile.

Couponing has been great. We save a LOT of money on snacks for my daughter and since were an oatmeal only family, since cereal was too expensive we can now eat cereal everyday of the week, for breakfast. All because of you and your great web site...and coupons. Thanks you!

My husband and I lost everything in TN. We owned a construction company, rental properties and I was a Realtor. We moved here with our 4 children in the summer of 09 and now I have food storage and self respect. We still get help but help goes a lot farther with coupons.

Oh my goodness...couponing is blessing our family beyond belief. My husband graduated in May and has been hardpressed to find a good job. Couponing has stretched our grocery budget so that I can even get my kids fun treats! Thanks so much for all your hard work.

My family is blessed in that we are not in a financial situation that we have to use coupons, but it has helped me truly value the money that does come into my home. Just becuase you have it doesn't mean you have to spend it!! We are a dual income home, but live on one income, and couponing has and will allow us to put more in savings for my families future.(Spend $400 more on food or put it in savings becuase I use coupons, huh, which one would you choose???) Now if my husband or I ever do lose our jobs, we are so prepared to last a long time while looking. What a great investment from a "part time" job!

Couponing is saving my family hundreds of dollars a month and allows us to be able to share with others as well. It has also fine-tuned my understanding of the value of a dollar. I have always loved to get good deals on the things I buy, but now I have found that I don't want to spend money on other extras as much as I used to do. It is very empowering to know that my family can get by on less than I would have thought.

I have taken my monthly grocery budget from $900.00 a month to $400.00-$600.00 a month. AND I am putting in a food storage. I feel like I am really contributing to the family finances now, because I am saving so much. I get to be a stay at home mom, AND I am contributing to the family wallet in a real and measurable way. Its fabuless!

Couponing has made all the difference to my family. We eat better than ever and have been able to shave our budget enough to offset our furlough. Thanks for all you do.

It's amazing how blessed I feel to be able to feed my family AND give to others in need. We are small business owners (aka: NO MONEY) and it has allowed me to cut costs, try new things, stretch what we do have AND still give to the foodbank, etc! That too me is a miracle! Thanks for ALL of your hard work to help us and for taking care of the "leg-work" ahead of time. You are FABULOUS! gals! :)

Alicia Cole said...

I am able to spend only $150 per month to feed my family of 5. This has been a huge blessing to us as we have had a few furlough months at my husbands job and other issues. This is helping us to pay down debt quickly. We are adding so much to our food storage every month and are able to help so many people with the extras!

Jessica said...

I just started using coupons in Jan 2010. I am a SAHM of 3 and I feel this is a great way to contribute to my family. We are blessed in that my husband has a good job with a great income. I am hoping that we will be able to pay off student loans faster as I save money using coupons. I also think it is great to have a nice stockpile and to be able to give back and donate extra food so others can be blessed also.

The reality for me of couponing is it gives me a time to get out of the house ALONE!! My husband likes seeing what I bring home and therefore doesn't bat an eye when I tell him I can't take any of the kids cause I need my full attention to the shopping. So basically it comes down to when mom ain't happy, nobody is and so they let me out of the house for some me time!

Yori said...

Yeah...Doublers. I only get one paper so extra doublers would be great. Couponing has blessed my family with things we would not normally be able to buy.

Amber Bernard said...

I have never really had any type of stockpile. I always had to run to the store to get this and run to the store to get that...but with couponing I can shop from my home! I LOVE IT! It saves me so much time and as a single working mom I cherish every little bit I can get with my daughter. It has also dropped the cost of groceries for us by over 75%. I am so appreciative for the time you spend on this website, because it saves me time :)

Couponing has been a blessing to our family. I've been doing it for less than a year, and never knew you could save this much money! I had used a coupon here and there before, but you guys are amazing at teaching all of us how to really get the most out of our money. My three children get things now that I never would've splurged for before. Thank you for helping me and my family become Fabulessly Frugal!

Couponing has been such a blessing to my family. My husband lost his job over 18 months ago and he has only been able to find part-time work. I am spending half of what I used to, and now have a stock pile. (I had to turn my bedroom closet into food storage.) Doublers are my favorite part of couponing! Your site is one of my favorites!

Beth said...

I started couponing a little over a year ago and have slashed my grocery budget by 60%!!! That is so wonderful for us, a family with 5 children. I think of it as part of my "job" as a stay at home mommy :)

Coupon has blessed our family by giving me the opportunity to continue to work at home and be here for my kids. It is also how we have made it through this financially trying year. Thanks for all you do to help all of us save money and stick to our budgets without sacrificing the needs of our families!

I started using coupons when my husband entered unemployment in August. We were able to sustain ourselves and even build up a tiny food storage in the midst of not having a job. We then went on to eat all of the food from our small storage and scrape by until he was able to gain employment again in January. We wouldn't have been able to make it work without coupons and sites like yours to teach me the ins and outs!

Couponing has been a lifesaver for my family. I have worked in a classroom with children who have emotional disabilities and I love my job. However due to the economy we have taken a pay cut the last 3 years and I did not want to quit my job as I love working with the kiddos. So my answer was to coupon....I have taught many folks how to do it at work and we all just love it. My family went from generic, can't afford to go out and eat to "couponing to Disneyland" in July! Thanks so much for all your hard work in keeping up the blog and doing all the leg work!

Julie said...

I think I've told you before, but couponing for us has meant a lot of things, and yours is absolutely my favorite site.

I'm married to a guy who has trouble keeping his weight on. If he isn't eating more or less constantly, the way a teenage boy might, he starts losing weight, and he doesn't have any extra to spare. With two growing boys also in the house, we were having a hard time feeding everyone and keeping the household in basic supplies (lotion, dish soap, diapers, pet food, etc) and staying in budget. Well, actually, it was becoming impossible. And then my husband's wages got cut, and he's been laid off for some periods, and it was getting harder and harder.

I have been a half-hearted couponer for a while now, but it's only been six months or so since I've started trying to be serious about it. We now stay within our grocery budget every month, which is helping us pay off bills, but even though we're spending less we have SO MUCH more food. Not just food, but everything. I used to have to worry all the time--"Oh my gosh, how am I going to get diapers and dog food and toilet paper all this week and still have enough for groceries?" Pfft. Now, of course, that never happens. I have about 18 packs of diapers in the basement, bought at various sales. I have 5 bags of dog food bought on good sale, so that I can wait around a bit until it goes on sale again. And toilet paper? And now I can not only afford groceries, but even afford treats that we could never get before. My sons are thrilled to have things like fruit snacks that we never got before. I'm thrilled to have some convenience foods that we had trouble affording before. Even though things like Hot Pockets are not our very favorite food, some days you just need things like that. And now we have them. Tons of them at times. It's such a relief.

Couponing has just brought me so much peace. That's the great blessing. Helping us pay off our bills and helping us buy more variety of foods and snacks and things has just given this mom a whole lot of stress relief. This month I'm actually going to treat myself to a haircut that I pay someone to do (I know, right?) thanks to coupons.

The extra doublers would be great, because I've been saving up my coupons and have so many to spend. But everything that you all do for us every single day is just awesome. I can't thank you enough.

Sorry to be so long-winded.

My husband works construction which used to make a very good living. Since the economy has tanked I decided I needed to do what I could to help our dollars stretch as far as possible. Coupons have indeed saved us an incredible amount of money. I know it relieves a lot of my husbands stress when he knows I am getting so much more bang for our buck! And thanks to Fabulessly Frugal, it makes it so easy for me to maximize my savings! Thanks for your hard work!

Since I was layed off in November. I was really nervous about the money going out to pay for bills, food, etc. Since I have been saving money, I have been able to get my grocery bill down. And have learned to save money other places as well. I have been able to not have to look for a replacement job so I can finish school. Without your website I would have been lost and would be spending $100+ in grocery's every week. This really has been a blessing to us. Thank you so much for the great help!!

Thank you for sharing the great deals (and bonus coupons!) with us via your site!!!

Couponing has allowed us to get most of our 1 year food and supplies storage for our family of 7 and stay well within our budget, even cutting that amount by $200 per month. We used to spend $600 per month and get $600 worth of groceries. Now we spend about $400 per month and usually average between $1500 and $2000 worth of groceries. Thank you for keeping us informed!

ghuff5 said...

Couponing has helped out my family immensely. I no longer have a job and my husband has to have furlough days every so often, so our budget is stressed. We have cut several things but the next thing to cut would be groceries but that is hard because you got to eat. Coupons has allowed us to still eat and cut the spending on the food. I am amazed at the different things that I get for free or even make money on them. It is hard when you want to shop but you don't have the budget for it but now, my husband doesn't complain of me going to the store because he knows that dollar is going a lot further than it use to. Thanks so much!

Okay so I moved from California last April up here to Idaho so my husband could go to school. I figured our life of "fun stuff" to eat was over. No more ice cream, candy, etc. Also I figured we would be eating spaghetti, rice and beans every night. Then I started getting into couponing and lo and behold we ate like kings! And queens. It has made a huge difference. Also, we spend half as much on diapers, which is awesome since we have 2 kids in them. I would love to win, I never win anything!! Thanks for all you do.

Hello~ weither I am picked or not I have to say Thank you for your efforts first off...I am a "New Couponer" and your site has helped me SOOOO much!!! I am a say at home mom doing this for 2 reasons....one is to save money (duh!!) and the other is to get out of this house with a purpose!!! It feels good! I have just started so Last night was my 1st real trip with coupons in hand and cats to catch!! I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO PASS OUT!!! I dont know why I guess just intimidated but wow I am telling you it was a rush....watching that boy look over my coupons like I was stealing from him....him takin his time while no one would open another lane so then there are people starting to stack up looking at me....I wanted to die! BUT I made it and walked out there with a pretty good deal for my first not so clean trip!! Then today after doing some more snooping on your site....went with alot more confidence, walked in there with both of my boys and my $10 cat. and we had a GREAT Trip!! So as I would love to have the doublers now that I know how to use them, I really want to say thank you for your time and hard work because you made it MUCH easier for me!!!

Couponing has blessed my families life in so many ways. But I will just write down one. I do the shopping now and this makes my husband happy. Before couponing I'd write up a shopping list for winco and walmart and my dear sweet hubby would do the shopping because I hated it. Now I do all the shopping and I am having fun doing it! today at albertsons i had 4 sets of doublers...i used 1 on the chill deal and two on the fruit snacks...which i was in a hurry and i thought it was only the fruit snacks so i grabbed 12 boxes of them just to find out after i checked out that it included fruit gushers and fruit roll ups :"( grrr i kicked myself for an hour for this....and when i was standing in line there was a lady behind me saying on what a great deal they were for only $1 so i ended up giving her 3 fruit snack coupons and my last set of doublers that i was going to use in the next few days when i wasnt in a hurry...i just felt some weird urge to give it to her...so maybe i will be rewarded for my good deed of the day...anyways your my FAVORITE SITE for albertsons...i always cant wait to see you post something good...you are closest blog to my area so yours seem to be most accurite ...great job and keep it up

Being frugal has helped me be able to stay at home with my little girl and baby! Although sometimes I wouldn't mind going back to the days when I just used coupons here and there, I know that all-out couponing helps our family save money, pay off debt, and allows me to be with my children.

I just started to coupon in January. I was to the point where I just hated shopping. It was painful to watch the amount go up and feel like there was nothing I could do. Then to look at the cart and see how little it had gotten me :( Now I love to shop again. I love to watch the numbers go down instead of up! It has been such a blessing to our family. We spend the same but we get so much more. We actually have extra food stored up now. Before we were lucky if our weekly budget got us enough to last the whole week without going back 6 or 7 times. I love this site and all I am so thankful for the hard work you all put in! THANKS!

I started couponing last Fall & it has been a tremendous benefit to my family. I don't have much time, so that is always a bit challenging but I am really starting to see my stockpile. That makes it all worth while! Thank you for you site & all your efforts! It is greatly appreciated.

I love that I have a great amount of storage for me and have been able to help get it for other family members as well and donate too! Thank you!

Oh man! I can't even begin to tell you how couponing has blessed our family! We went from a bare pantry... and I mean one or two cans in there and maybe a box of cereal... with the loss of one income, we were headed to serious disaster. I always thought coupons were for the crazy people. Guess who's crazy now! And with an overflowing pantry and a freezer so tightly packed I don't think I could even get a penny in there. I don't have to worry about snacks, let alone meals. THANK YOU!!!

I can relate with what Bridget says! I don't know what I would do without couponing now! We could never go back to the old way of shopping. My husband lost his job in Oct 2008 and is still struggling. This last month we didn't have much grocery money, but my pantry is full. It was a huge relief to not have to stress about having enough groceries. Thank you Fab Frugal! You're the first website I go to every time I look for deals!

Thank you for the great tips that I get here everyday! I appreciate it so much. Question - - now that the orchard juice is gone and out of stock at the warehouse, what is the best scenario for the chill deal since we have to purchase 10 items and only have 3 doublers. Thanks for your advice

After getting out of debt (via Dave Ramsey FPU!) I've been really good with staying within my grocery budget. When there's no money left, I'm done until payday. Not working out of the home I see saving money as my job! there's no way I could do what I do, or provide my family with what I do, without coupons! And I couldn't do coupons the way I do with the FabFrugal Gals!! :)

I just started doing grocery couponing in January (already did lots of restaurant, retail, etc. coupons) and I so wish I would have started much earlier! I have been a stay-at-home mom for almost 7 years and my grocery budget got up to $120 before couponing! It was ridiculous! Now, I think I am spending $50-70 and once I get a decent stockpile I am sure it will go down even further. I am trying to pay off some debt and this is really helping! Thanks!

Couponing has made it easier to eat healthy in my family. But we have to be selective because there aren't any young kids, and so some stuff we can't use, like diapers etc.

It has also restored my faith in Albertsons (which is good because I work there). When I first started back in '93 we would have these kind of deals, but we went away from them for a while. So it's good to see us back on track and having such great sales!

I spend less so extra money goes to pay off credit cards. So we are getting out of debt and building food stroage at the same time! coupons are wonderful.

I can buy food that I really wasn't able to buy after my divorce and too many bills to pay by myself. Now I can also stock pile for harder times that may come.

How has couponing blessed my family? Maybe I should say how has it NOT blessed my family. I have saved soooo much money on the food staples that I would normally buy and it is so nice to see that I am finally building up some food storage. It is a huge relief and makes me so very happy.

I cannot tell you how much couponing has changed our lives. I am a single mom of three boys. It use to be hard to afford to keep enough food in the house to feed them....until now. We have saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars by using coupons. My boys get to enjoy the fun snacks that we could not afford until we discovered coupons. They love to show and tell friends and relatives how much stuff mom got for sooo cheap. Thank you so much for all of the hard work you do helping other families like mine save money!!!

Couponing has allowed us to get our van payed off and I'm going to be able to work once a week soon, instead of twice. It has really changed our lives and given us more freedom with our money! Tricia

I started couponing about 10 months ago. I have been amazed at how it has affected our monthly budget. My husband was laid off in Nov. 2008. After a year of being unemployed, he finally found a job that pays just a little over half what he made before. Even though our income has been drastically reduced, we have not had to increase our debt. Couponing has allowed our family to stay within budget. We were also able to find some pretty thrifty Christmas deals for our 5 kids through couponing.

I love your site, it is one of my home page tabs, and I check it everytime I go on the internet.

Couponing has blessed us by allowing us to actually start putting money into our savings account. I always used coupons before but not like this. My eyes are opened as to what really is a good deal or not. I have a great stockpile now of food and toiletries. It's a great feeling to know that if something happened we would be eating fine for a few months or so.

Thanks for all your work in helping us all save.

Couponing has allowed me to build up a food storage for my family. I have been able to share what I have learned with my daughters and see the blessing it is in their lives as they are saving money and creating a new lifestyle of shopping their pantries.
