Taco Salad
Remember the great super bowl deal where we all stocked up on tortilla chips and dip? Well, weeks later and all I'm left with is 6 bags with the crumbly chips at the bottom. After such a sweet deal can I just throw them away *gasp* and be wasteful? Recipes to the rescue, use those chip crumbles at the bottom of the bag for taco salad and crispy chicken strips.
Taco Salad
Husband Rating: 5 stars
6 oz. ground beef
3 Tbsp. onion, diced
1 Tbsp. Taco Seasoning
1 bag of your favorite salad (I like romaine!)
1 roma tomato, diced
1/2 can of olives, sliced
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 1/2 cups crushed tortilla chips (I just dump in the crumbles from the bottom of the bag)
Ranch or your favorite dressing
In a skillet over medium heat cook ground beef. Add onions and taco seasoning. In a large bowl layer lettuce, tomatoes, olives, ground beef, chips and cheese. Toss well. Drizzle with ranch dressing and serve. See, told you it was easy.

I have a question the tostitos deal was not for Id and they will not be sending the rebate. I got the email that said no.
Total Bummer!!!! Did you get the same thing?
Was that the rebate where you had to buy beer? I think it was. I did not do it b/c we do not buy beer.
Anyone else?
No didn't buy beer. I just did the $7.50 one that was on the bottom.
Amanda- The ones that qualified for Idaho required the purchase of Beer. The other two were not good in Idaho.
Here is the post where I talked about that: http://www.fabulesslyfrugal.com/2010/01/walgreens-124-130.html
I actually did the deal at Maverick. They had the chips on sale, had the $1 off coupons right at the counter and had free dip when you buy 2. I know, a gas station, who da thunk?
