DOUBLE DIP... you dipped, and you dipped again

In pretty much all instances of life, double dipping is just uncouth...

But when it comes to couponing and double dipping, you can bet your boots I'm all for it!

Double Dipping
in the couponing world is not only accepted, it's EMBRACED! What is it? It is when a certain combination of products will trigger not one, but TWO separate catalina promotions to print! And this week there is a scenario that is a fab example of prime double dipping!

Here are the catalina deals
that are working with this double dip
at Albertsons.

The GM Catalina
(2/24-3/2)
Spend $20 on participating General Mills products, receive a catalina (store voucher) to use on your next transaction.
The Fiber One Bars Catalina (2/22-3/21)
Buy 3 Fiber One Bars, get $1.50 catalina to use on your next transaction
Buy 4 Fiber One Bars, get $2.50 catalina to use on your next transaction
Buy 5+ Fiber One Bars, get $3.50 catalina to use on your next transaction
The Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks Catalina (2/22-3/21)
Buy 3 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, get $1.50 catalina to use on your next transaction
Buy 4 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, get $2.50 catalina to use on your next transaction
Buy 5+ Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, get $3.50 catalina to use on your next transaction

How you would work this deal:

PURCHASE 5 Fiber One Bars ($2.50 each)
PURCHASE 4 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks ($2.50 each)
TOTAL: $22.50

USE:
(2) $.50/2 BC Fruit Snacks from coupons.com
(2) $.40/1 Fiber One Bars from coupons.com
(1) $.40/1 Fiber One Bars from smartsource
(2) $.75/1 Fiber One Bars
TOTAL: $18.80

RECEIVE:
$7.00 GM catalina
$3.50 Fiber One Bars catalina
$2.50 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks Catalina

That is $13.00 in catalinas! Woot!
Comes to $5.80 for 9 items!!
That's $.64 per item!

I did find some Fiber One Bar Coupons on eBay (that you CAN double!). Just make sure you don't get the 90 calorie ones, and watch the expiration date. Some expire on 2/27!

Katie - Thanks for the heads up. I checked it before I posted and it was there! That's insane - because I see it's not there anymore! Thanks Katie!

When I tried to roll the GM deal today, it wouldn't work because I used the same Albertsons card for both transactions. The cashier was really nice and rang up the second transaction for me again using a different card- but, I thought you'd like a heads up. It does say "limit 1per customer" in the fine print.

I was able to roll the GM deal just fine today.

Hey why not the 90 calorie are they not part of the promo? Does anyone know?

I noticed in the fine print for the GM promo buy $20 get $7,It states "Minimum purchase requirement is calculated after manufacturer and store coupons.".I've never had to do that before.has this been a problem for anyone?

I did this exact deal today and only got 1.50 cat for the fruit snacks. Why do you think that is? I did get 3 little ponys and one sunkist fruit snack. I wondered if the sunkist didn't work for some reason. Do you think I should call the cat. company or not worry about it? It defiently worked other wise. Thanks for the info.

Mama Yo said...

Shannon - it sounds like it was the Sunkist. If you read closely the catalina that printed out, it should tell you all the varieties that worked on this deal. If it is listed, then it wouldn't hurt to call the catalina company.

Thank you! It was still a good deal. Is was just sad I messed up. I just hope it helps someone else not to make the same mistake.
