Can you use Albies doublers on a promo like the Darigold one?
Sally- YES!!!!
Just so you know Alka Seltzer is free this week at Walgreens. 24count orginal box is $2.29 buy three get $6 RR there are $1 off coupons on coupons.com turns into a $ maker :) I figured out the coupons AFTER I bought 3 boxes for $1.28 Oh well. still a good deal.
Nice Tyree! I'm posting!
Also there is a Buy 2, get one free Starkist tuna coupon on the Save-a-lot website (manufacturer coupon, NOT a store coupon) here:
http://offers.e-centives.com/mcp/?id=75f6daab-105f-4c92-a564-865bda4f3e33
Ali - I'm not sure that coupon would work as it states Solid White Tuna. I'm not sure if that variety is included on the in-ad coupon. I'll have to check it out when I go. Thanks!
Just had the worst experience at the overland and 5 mile Albies. I took my sister-in-law for the first time to coupon. We did the GM deal but every time they rang up her Cherrios coupons the computer said that it was for hamburger helper. They gave her a really hard time about that but they were totally legit coupons ( I printed them myself). But when they typed in the numbers the coupon said that it was for Cherrios so they let her use them. We were at the self checkout (the lines were so long at the regular, I guess the threes a crowd policy doesn’t apply to this particular store), but anyways then her cats wouldn’t print. So they gave her a hard time about being in the self checkout with coupons. Meanwhile I did my transaction and then my cats didn’t print out and they also gave me a hard time about being in the self check out. So after they force printed both our catalinas we went to the regular checkout, par their request, to do the rest of our transactions. The same thing happened with her coupons not coming up as the right thing at this register again the cashier this time was rude to her. They let her do it though and then she went outside because she was embarrassed. Also when I did my transaction the 5.00 oyno cat didn’t print and they had to force print that also. (Not with out attitude from the cashier mind you). While I was waiting for the cat to print out I could hear the cashiers and managers talking about how they thought that my sister-in-laws coupons were fake and that she looked like the type to forge them. At this point I was so mad that I got my catalina and left. I had more shopping to do but will do it at a different Albertson’s because we should not have been treated like criminals just for using coupons. I would never alter a coupon just to save money and neither would my sister-in-law. It isn’t worth my integrity to save what a buck or two. And the idea that they had thought that she looked like the type to do that was so insulting. I didn’t realize that the people at the overland and five mile store had been trained in profiling coupon criminals. How CSI of them. But I digress, my real reason for writing this is to let everyone know what poor service I received there and that I personally will never shop there again. My sister in law is so turned off of couponing that she may not do it again. She says that it’s not worth the savings. So consumers beware and I wouldn’t use a coupon at self check out there if you want to be treated with respect. Sorry that was a bit of a rant. I love this site. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into this site.
Screwface- I never use self checkouts with coupons, avoid busy times and I use the same cashier every time. I don't care how long I have to wait in line, Earl (at the Ammon store) is so nice, quick and with-it that it's worth it. This helps eliminate your above frustration. Bummer, better luck next time!
Camille- That is some good advice. I always profile my checkers!
Screwface- I am sorry, believe me I know how you feel I have had similar experiences at 5/o and I started avoiding them over a year ago, but once in a while I go back they do have a few employee's there that I really like! Like Kaytie and Josh.
If I were you I would call and talk to Kathi the store manager in a respectful calm way. She is a really nice lady and she needs to know if her employees are behaving badly. Really I think it used to be worse there, but has gotten better b/c people were complaining to management.
Boycott is an option, but I think talking to management is a must!
Who did you work with while you were there? I can almost guess.
I am glad you had a place to come and vent, sometimes you just need that! We understand!
I hope you can convince your SIL to try again. It is so worth the savings! I have bad experineces too, but many of mine have been great. Like Camille said you gotta find your good people and stick with them!
5&O store is almost bipolar in its approach to coupons. Some of them bend over backwards to help me and some of them make me feel like I am going thru a criminal check! Once I got in line with my favorite cashier and right before I got up there she was switched out with my least favorite! Lots of people behind me & stuff already on the belt, so I just had to grin and bear it. :) Usually even the bad ones will be okay if I just keep my cool and stay nice.
Just wanted to let folks know that the extra gum is on sale for $1 and when you buy one a cat. prints out for buy one get one free before you even pay. I don't know if all stores will do it but the lady took it and used it. So I got two packs of Extra Gum for $1.
