**UPDATE** They are taking the petition TODAY!! So go and sign! At the moment they only have 1318 signatures... goal is 2000!!!
This is an non-frugal/coupon post, but one that I feel is very much worth my (and your) time.
The Stockdale Family of six was featured on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition two years ago. They are a family from Middleton, ID that were very deserving of this beautiful home.
Now, unfortunately, they may have to give up their home (which was built to accommodate their four children who have a rare blood disease). Shortly after they moved into their home, Ryan Stockdale was diagnosed with a rare, debilitating disease which has him suffering all day long with the excruciating pain of cluster headaches.
To make a long story short, his only hope now is brain surgery, which is health insurance will not cover. They've appealed it four times, and been rejected four times. If the insurance won't cover the surgery, they will have to sell their home to cover the $100,000 bill. The home that helps keep their children healthy. They have one more shot at appealing this, and this is where you come in. You can sign an online petition to help Ryan Stockdale in his families quest to have this surgery performed.

Thank you for posting this! I signed the petition and pray that Ryan will get better.
I signed it too!
Hi Cathy,
I'm the creator of the petition, Facebook group, and Twitter page, and I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this information with your visitors. The appeal, along with the petition, is going to Omnipure today. However, we will continue to collect as many signatures as possible because we will deliver the updated petition to Omnipure everyday until they approve Ryan's procedure, so please encourage everyone to keep signing! Thank you!

Thanks Caroline! We've got a fab group of readers and I can tell we've had many clicking through to the petition! Anything we can do to help... let us know!
I just read this article in the Press this morning. It really touched me. This family has been through so much. I think if the insurance does not approve the prceedure we can raise $100,000. I would be willing to organize several types of fundraisers. This family cannot loose thier house!
Squirrel - I'd love to help organize fundraisers with you. I bet we'd get a lot of support from our readers and the blogging community as well!
wow..I can't believe what this family has been through. Thank you for sharing this story...please keep us posted on what we can do. Prayers and Hugs!
Hey everyone - in response to efforts to raise funds, there is already two accounts opened to do so.
Syringa bank has a benefit account opened, just contact a branch and send/deliver a check to the Stockdale Family Benefit Account. Funds go directly to the family to assist in the surgery and related costs, living and otherwise.
For those of you more technically inclined, visit the Facebook donation page where we have a PayPal donation account setup to receive contributions already. Visit the Facebook donations page at:

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
I would love to put our coupon techniques to the test and do something like a spagetti feed or something along those lines in every city in the valley! $100,000 wont come easy but I know some way and some how it can be done.
Up to 1985 votes . If the signatures on the petition doesn't work I am sure the Boise Valley can come together and make this happen .
