Paying too much for Cable? Sign up Today, and start saving!
You know that I am frugal. Guess what we do not even have cable or satellite. Actually the even bigger kicker is that I do not have a cell phone, because I do not want the extra monthly payment. Can you believe it?
To my constant annoyance this time of year my hubby starts begging me to subscribe so that he can catch all of the BSU Football games from the comfort of our home.
This Dish offer is good for 6 months at $9.99. That is enough time to get us through College Football Season. I'm thinking with all the coupon money we have been saving I can handle $9.99/mo. I will just be sure to cancel when the 6 months is up.
Maybe you have not upgraded after the Digital TV switch?
Instead of buying a new DTV for $1000 or more you can just sign up for this cheap digital service with Dish Network.

I thought I was the only one left who is too cheap for a cell phone!! :)
Great offer! also...if you are already with Dish (I am ) I love that I can call them and they will work with me on pricing since I have been a customer for so long. About twice a year I call them (and Qwest (ugh!) too) for a review and ask them if there is anyway I can save money. Never have I gotten a flat out NO. Last time they gave me 3 free months of HBO and Showtime and the time before that I got 2 free PPV movies. Little things add up!!
Happy day all!
FYI- I just looked into this offer and it requires a 24 month commitment.
Thanks for the FYI Letzelter.
Jody- good to know I am not the only one!
Thanks for the info Keri Lyn
I just called and canceled my Dish Network cause we are cutting costs and they offered me $20 off a month. That was very nice of them. I still canceled though.
I would suggest calling all your service providers. I just called our cell phone carrier the other day to see if there was anyway to get out bill reduced. The customer service rep reviewed my account and told me I had the web on there witch I never even knew I had so I didnt use it. It took $35 a month off my bill. Good news. Bad news was I was paying an extra $35 since 2007 that I shouldnt have. It does pay to call your service providers and ask specifically for an account review. We had been on the phone with them several times since 2007 and reviewed our statements each month ourselves and never noticed or was told about the extra service. It is worth the extra time it takes to call.
