How Do You Celebrate the 4th of July?

Happy 4th of July Fab Friends!

This week we have had a few requests from our Fab readers asking us to get the word out about supporting the troops.

Judy has asked that you take a look at "Any Soldier.com" You can send letters, food and care packages to the troops. You know that Tuna we keep talking about? That would be a great thing to send. If you got some items for free you may want to see if the troops could use them. Most of all though just sending letters to let them know you support them. You may or may not support the war, but we must support those who fight to keep our countries freedoms.

Kim asks that you consider attending this event if you are a local.

I highlighed it in the Free 4th Events post.

Here are the details....

Tea Party Celebration BBQ. 5-9 p.m. Julia Davis Park by the band shell.Food: Hamburgers, hotdogs, beverages Special Event: Tribute to the Troops! There will be a donation box to help pay for dinner and postage to send care packages to the troops. Bring your American flag and dress in red, white, and blue! If you want to contribute a care package for the troops, contact Tara Lehman, 208-870-4358, e-mail: atarweber@hotmail.com, or bring items to the BBQ. The USO recommends snacks, instant soup, hot chocolate, powdered drink mixes, magazines, CDs, board games, unscented lotion, sun screen, lip balm, wet wipes, and socks.

These sound like some great ways to celebrate the 4th of July.

Just for today I have added a little music to the blog with some of my favorite patriotic songs. I hope you enjoy it. Have a great Independance day and don't forget the people that made it possible and still make it possible!
