Walgreens - HUGGIES DIAPER DEAL starts Sunday!

So many diaper deals going on!!
We told you about Target, and about Albertsons {read the comments!}...
but this upcoming sale at Walgreens is sure to cause a frenzy!

REMEMBER:
You can't "roll" Register Rewards
over and over...
be sure to read our Walgreens 101 post
if you're fairly new at this and want the diapers!

Huggies Diapers Jumbo Pack $8.99
COUPONS TO USE:
STORE COUPON:
$1/1 Huggies found in Childrens Activity Booklet (hard to find now days! Leave a comment if you've seen one lately!) {Thanks for the reminder Jody!}
STACK WITH:
$2.00/1 any Huggies Diapers {print it twice!!} IE or FF
$1.00/1 any Huggies Diapers from 1/17 SS
If you are really wanting to stock up, you can find Huggies Coupons on eBay
{just read them carefully - there are some $3/1 coupons out there - but they are for the BIG PACKS!}
RECEIVE: $3 Register Rewards
FINAL PRICE {after factoring in RR} $2.99-$4.99 {depending on what coupons you have and if you stack}

PLEASE NOTE:
You CAN NOT use the $3/1 coupon found
in the current Albertsons ad because it is for
THE BIG PACKS... NOT the JUMBO PACKS!
Please don't try and do this as it gives
couponers a BAD REPUTATION
and will ruin things for all of us who are trying to be honest!!

THINGS TO CONSIDER:

- Calling your store and asking to place an order.
Let them know that this will be a hot week for diapers so you want to be sure and get some extras ordered for yourself so you're not clearing the shelves. Maybe if you word it this way, they'll be more prone to help you. I have personally never placed an order with Wags, but I know Monica has. So it just may be one of those "YMMV" things. ;)

- A Size 3 Jumbo Pack is 36 diapers.
Final price on this will come to about $.12/diaper.

- You'll be doing multiple transactions...
if you intend to stock up. If you want to reduce your oop, you'll want to have some register rewards from different promo's to help pay for your diapers. Check out Ambers Walgreens post, or you can view next weeks ad to see what other RR deals may work for you.

- Register Rewards won't expire for 10-14 days...
you could use them during the 2/14 sale week as well.

Thanks for the early ad scan iheartwags!

DON'T FORGET YOU CAN USE THE $3 OFF COUPON FROM ALBERTSONS AD...JUST SAY IT SAYS PACK ...ITS WORTH A TRY.

Can you also use the $1/1 from the childrens activity book with the manufacturers coupon?

Monica said...

Jody- You sure can use that coupon. Wish I still had some!

WE DO NOT ENCOURAGE TRYING TO PUSH COUPONS THROUGH THAT ARE NOT INTENDED FOR THE PRODUCT. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO USE THE $3/1 FROM THE ALBERTSONS AD THAT SAYS FOR THE BIG PACK. THIS KIND OF THING GIVES COUPONERS A BAD NAME!

Do they treat the children's book coupon like they do the coupons in their monthly books? I'm wondering if it is just good for one use, or if it's like the others and they'll scan it for as many products as you buy.

I was all excited to use the coupon from the Albertson's ad until I noticed it said BIG pack. None of the Idaho Falls Wags have the Children's Activity Book, so I can't seem to get that coupon. Thanks for encouraging couponers to be ethical about it.

Jody - thanks for the reminder. I updated the post!

Shimmeri Star - thanks for the reminder to make sure people DO NOT try to use that coupon! I updated the post.

Julie - that booklet came out last summer... and it's been seen here and there occasionally, but I must say I've never seen it either. :(

I'm in Rexburg and we have never seen that children's book until this week. They have a TON of them now! :)

It is also good for pull ups if people need those I think we have a 2$ off coupon

Would the final price actually be $2.99-$3.99?
Start with sale price of $8.99
Use $1 off Children's coloring book.
Use $2 off internet printable huggies coupon.
This brings total to $5.99.
Factor in $3 register reward.
Total now $2.99 or $3.99 (w/out using coupon from coloring book.)
Maybe you already had this as the price listed. Thanks for all of your help.

I bought diapers a few weeks ago when they were on sale and received a $5 register reward. Will I be able to use that when buying for this sale?

Mama Yo said...

I can't remember the exact verbiage, but if it says "Kimberly Clark" somewhere on that RR, you can use it, but most likely a NEW RR will NOT print. I'm about 99% sure on this. If you have a nice checker, you could ask them to let you try it out.

Hi,
There are some spanish coupons on ebay for $2 off Huggies. Do you know if cashier's have a problem with a coupon if it is in a different language?
Are there some really coupon friendly Wags around Boise/Nampa?
Thanks.

Mama Yo said...

Hey Cammie -

There shouldn't be a problem with Spanish coupons... I can't imagine there would be anyway. The only store I know that you SHOULD avoid is the Meridian/Overland Wags.

Thanks for letting me know that Rexburg Wags has the activity book, Jody! My husband works in Rexburg, so I'll see if he can get one. Woot!

Looking for the Walgreens Activity Booklet?
Check the Walgreens at Ustick and Eagle in Meridian. You will need to go directly to the Pharmacy to purchase it. They keep the booklets behind the counter out of sight but knew exactly what I was asking for when I bought mine. Thanks to a tip from a cashier or I would never have found it =)

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on the wags activity coupon for the diapers. Here is the situation that I ran into:

During the last great deal they had for diapers I was unable to use the wag activity coupon because the diapers were already on sale. I was a little confused because I knew that I have stacked coupons before and on sale items. I was told that the problem was that the diapers were already on sale and that was no longer aloud.

Skip to this sale. I went today to buy my diapers with both diapers in hand. The print out and the wags activity coupon. Before the cashier rang up my things she told me that it wouldn't work but would try it anyway. Sure enough it beeped. We tried it several different ways. (Her idea. She felt bad because she knew in the past this worked fine) No matter how she tried it, it didn't worked. When I looked closer at the coupon, sure enough it says on regular price retail.

So in a nut shell if the item is on sale you cant use the wags activity coupon. I don't know if this is all walgreens locations. But definitely at the two that I shop at most often.

Sorry for the long post. Hope this all made sense.

meaghan- did you have a filler item? If you use a coupon or register reward, you have to have as many items as coupons. If you are only getting diapers and want to use a coupon and a register reward, you have to have an extra item. I have been using the activity book coupon and $2 off coupon all week and haven't had any problems as long as I have the filler items. HTH!

Someday I think I'm going to write a (no doubt humorous) novel about couponing at Wags. They make it so freakin complicated. The other day I wanted some things and asked my parents to go for me, since they were going to town. I gave them a detailed list. My dad said it was fun. My mom was shocked at how much money I saved and then got back in RRs. I said, "Yeah, did you get that little coupon high?" When things go right, it's a definite buzz.

I have been using the activity coupon book and the $2.00 off also. The Walgreens on Cole and Milwaukee would not let me use the activity book, but the Walgreens on Orchard/Overland, Five Mile and Overland and also Locust Grove and Fairview let me use both. I always have them scan the manf coupon first and then the activity book and then it doesn't beep.
