I was checking out at Albertson's and I had 3 transactions with 3 sets of doubles in a row. I used a gift card and the cashier mentioned how easy that made her job and asked if I'd leave a comment for others to do the same.
The gift card also makes it nice to keep track of my budget, I add so much money to it every month. Just thought I'd pass that along.
Anything to keep those cashiers happy when they know we're coming with the doubles.
The overland and five mile has the rain scent of All detergent on clearance for $2.99. Double the $1.00 off and snag a bottle for .99 cents!
Emma, what a great way to stay within your budget! Nice idea!
Great find Becca!
Are there going to be more sets of doublers in the Sunday paper, do you know? I'd like a few more sets--because who can pass up free tuna and pasta? (we're also getting these free banana cookies that my baby loves, but those coupons are not from this region)--and I know some weeks they do put them in both papers. Otherwise, I may have to scavenge through the post office garbage to get more doubles! I can't believe people don't know the magic they're throwing away.
Julie-
We have heard several rumor that they are coming but our source was unsure. So we are hoping!!!!!
Sweet! Also, I wanted to let you know, I signed up for the Activia challenge and, after hunting around fruitlessly for the coupon, I happened to check my email...and the link for it is sitting in my inbox. It is a bricks coupon, so I printed it twice, and it is double-able. It also doesn't expire until 3/30/10 if you want free yogurt some other time or something!
Thanks Julie! After your hint I checked my junk email and there was my coupon!!!!!!
Thank you thank you!
The derergent coupon is for 50 ouces, right? Is there another coupon out there?
Becca- Thanks for the tip! Cathy and I were both able to score a coupon of bottle last night. We even left some on the shelf for someone else. So the deal may still be good.

Last April, Albertsons ran a gift card promo for tax season. Buy a $300 gift card and get an additional $30 loaded on the card. I bought the maximum of 4 cards, so paid for $1200 in gift cards and received $120 free!
I've asked if they are going to run this promo again and nobody seems sure, but keep an eye out. Info was in the weekly ad.
I LOVED using these gift cards, especially if I was doing multiple transactions. I didn't have to fumble with anything (we pay with cash for everything) so it was so much easier!
P.S. Thanks for the tip Melissa, always love free dish soap!
You are welcome! I went last wed and had picked up 4 bottles (since they were almost out I left some there) and then when I went back on Sat they had restocked and the price was the same! So I might even go grab another bottle today! :)
