Scenario's and Rolling Catalina's

Just wanted to make sure everyone understands how to roll a catalina! No, we are not talking about bread and salad dressing. If you need a review on what a catalina is you may want to start by clicking here.

The final OOP is not as low as I could go. I could certainly do better! The point here is to show you well rounded scenario's with a variety of items you WILL USE!

I am going to use the fabulous promo going on at Albertsons right now as an example:

In this promo you spend $20 on participating items you will get $5 back.

That's so awesome- I wish stores in my state even doubled! We get some catalinas/rewards but I love reading about those deals and how you put them together.

I wasn't sure that the General Mills catalinas would roll like that, so I've just been doing two transactions in a row, one where I do the General Mills promo deals and then one right behind that where I use another set of doubles and get other stuff, paid for with the catalinas. Five bags of nut clusters and five boxes of fruit snacks has been a particular favorte (it's $21.85 -$5 for nut clusters coupons -$1.50 for fruit snacks coupons which equals $15.35 and then you get $12 in catalinas ($5 for being over $20 and $3.50 each for the nut clusters and fruit snacks). Then with my $12, I use a new set of doubles to get other stuff (Carnation evaporated milk, Pompeiian olivextra oil, and Hormel refrigerated entree with a free Compleats today). It just gives such a little thrill, and we can't usually afford those nut clusters, but we like them a lot.

Anyway, I don't think I've ever commented here before, but thanks so much for all you do (and I'm glad you make money doing it!). This is the most helpful blog for me, and I read you everyday.
