FabuLESS Freezer Cooking: Cream Cheese Chicken



Cream Cheese Chicken

ONE FAMILY
4 chicken breasts
1 packet of dry zesty Italian seasoning
1 can of cream of chicken soup
8 oz of cream cheese
¼ cup of butter
½ cup of water
salt and pepper to taste

SIX FAMILIES

24 chicken breasts
6 packets dry zesty Italian seasoning
6 cans of cream of chicken soup
3 lbs of cream cheese
1 ½ cups of butter
3 c. water
salt & pepper to taste

TO PREPARE FOR FREEZING: Bag Chicken and butter and label. Place spice packet and soup in aside for pantry. Keep cream cheese in the fridge.

TO PREPARE AFTER FREEZING: Place frozen chicken in a crock pot. Melt butter and combine with seasoning and water. Pour over the chicken and cook on low for 5-6 hours. About 45 minutes before chicken is done combine soup and cream cheese heat on the stove and pour over chicken to heat for remaining 45 minutes. Serve over rice, noodles or potatoes. Note you can add broccoli or a mixed frozen veggie with the chicken.

funny ... so i was just put on the spot to make dinner tonight and couldn't think of anything, I was searching all over the www and thought hey "Fabulessly Frugal" puts up super yummy recipes (because I made the funeral potatoes a couple weeks ago - twice in 1 week) so I jumped on here and you didn't let me down I'll be making the Cream Cheese Chicken tonight!!! I love this recipe...although I know you can freeze this I usually make it the day of and bake it. I also substitute italian dressing instead of using the dry packet and mixing it with water. Turns out delicious!! - Silvia

Thanks for the tip! I have wondered if it is just as yummy with a bottle or dressing. Best part is you probably got the dressing for free!
