Thanks for all the ideas & match ups!

A thought about the cream of mushroom soup: if you're short on doublers or will be going near Walmart anyway, say for the cheaper stuffing,I'd get it there. Take the Target ad and have them price match the .49 price. Use the $1/4 IP and they are $.24 a can.

The creamer is a better deal at Albertson's with doubles - it's for the 32 oz. Walgreens is only 16oz.

Cheryl - I went to Walfart, I mean,Walmart yesterday to price match the soup from the Target ad, and also to price match the Ritz Crackers from Fred Meyer. The checker would NOT let me use the $1/1 coupons for the crackers saying that you could either price match, or use a coupon, but couldn't do both. I questioned her of course, pointing out that they don't lose $ when taking the MC, she went and asked a manager, who sided wtih her. Yet ANOTHER reason for me NOT to go to Walmart. (BTW - I had her void out the crackers and I went to Freds and did my multiple transactions WITH coupons!)

Anyone else run into this?

Cheryl_hiccups said...

Cathy, I personally have never had that happen, but I have read about it happening to others on blogs. I've successfully price matched & used coupons at the Nampa Garrity Walmart & the Meridian Walmart.

I think part of the problem is that the machine *always* beeps when you go to use a coupon on a price matched item. It does this to get the cashier to verify that the coupon doesn't exceed the amount of the product, I think.

It might be worth emailing their customer service over, because if you get a reply that states you CAN price match and use manufacturer coupons, you could print that out and carry it. :D

I don't go to Walmart very often if I can help it, but they do come in very handy when another store runs a good sale, but doesn't get enough items.

I actually had the same problem at the Walmart in Meridian about a month ago. I tried to price match and use a MC coupon and the clerk asked the manager and he said I could only do one.

I don't go to Walmart anymore unless I absolutely have to. They aren't very coupon friendly.

I want to thank you for this wonderful website. I was at Target the other night and the lady couldn't believe what I was paying for my purchase. I gave her your website and told her how easy you make it for all of us. Thanks for saving me so much time and money.

Cheryl - Thanks for the input. Wouldn't it be nice to never walk in that store again!?!?!

Christensen Fam - thank you for sharin the love! :) We are happy to do it!

Yes, I avoid the Walmart thing if I can as well. And this week you can get the cream of mushroom soup at Freddies! They have a store coupon for 2/$1 and then you can use the manufacturer coupon as well. I have never had an issue with this as Freddies as long as one is a store coupon and the other is a MQ.

Quick question i have been trying to get the i can't believe its not butter coupon and the nestle coupons to print and they won't is there a url i can try or website?

A*Waite said...

I belive the regular price on the cream cheese is 2.50, which makes it 2.26 for three with a doubler making them 74 cents each.

Jen said...

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter baking sticks are $1.99 and when you buy 2 you get $2 OYNO CAT :) There are $1/1 coupons available to make them FREE w/doubles.

FYI...the last time I went to use the Lighthouse coupons with doublers, I realized it was a no go. At the bottom of the small print it says "DO NOT DOUBLE". It's not up where it normally is. Have a good look at them to make sure before using them.

Monica said...

Jennyjlj- I think I was using google chrome last night when I made that list so the URL needs to be changed a little. You can do this if you follow the Coupon Tip Tuesday: Trouble Printing post.

I will go ahead and change them for internet explorer!

Kim- You are right, I thought it was just the Nov ones that said that, but it is all of them. I will remove the litehouse from the post. Thank you!

jennyjlj said...

Thanks! i still can't get it to work says its printing but won't do anything. Thanks though. Love your matchups!'

Monica said...

Jennyjlj-

What browser are you using?

I forgot to give you the trouble printing coupons link

Anonymous said...

Also mentos gum is free with doubles...I got some today! :)

jennyjlj said...

Thanks Monica. I got it to print on another site. I got a dollar off and a .75 cent off. Not to bad for holiday printing. I use firefox. Does that make a difference with printing?

Thanks again for the match ups. Love the ideas and how much were are getting.

The reason you could not get it to print was you were using firefox. It was an internet explorer link. You should read that post I mentioned above and it would clear it all up for you. Glad you got your print!
happy saving!

I printed the Hunts coupon from the Conagra Recession game and it says do not double on it, twice. So no doubling on that. It would be 50 cents for 3 which isn't a bad price, not as good as free but not bad.

Monica said...

Thanks Niki! Those dang DND coupons. I will fix that post! EEK

I have 2 computers and from both computers I could only print the Townhouse Flipsides crackers once from each computer. I know that I haven't printed that coupon before. Anyone else having this issue?

Also FYI I bought the cream cheese that is on sale with inad q for 88 cents on first 2, but the coupon is good on 3 (I found a tearpad coupon on a cardboard box display with all the this week's sale stuff $1.25/3.) Anyway, they ring up 2.49 each, minus the in ad coupon and the manufacture coupon, it ends up being 3.00 for 3.

Martha said...

I couldn't find the Coffee Mate on the link you provided. It took me to coupons.com. Is there another link that might work?

Monica said...

Nikki- I had the same situation with the flipsides coupon. It only printed once. :) The manu must have given a 1 only print limit.

Martha- The coffee mate coupon must be gone now, I do not see it either. There was one in the 11-01-09 RP though.

I'm updating it in the post as well.

The Barkers said...

I just got back from Albertsons. The vegetable coupon says excludes steamfresh. Steamfresh are the ones on sale. So this wouldn't work. Is there a coupon I am missing? Thanks

Monica said...

Cathy- thanks for posting that link. I looked for that one in the wrong place I guess. I am glad you found it!

Barkers- Here are the Birds Eye coupons:
Birds Eye C and W or Steamfresh variety, any bag .35/1 (11-28-09) SS-10/18
Birds Eye C&W vegetables, any bag excluding Steamfresh varieties .35/1 (1-10-10) SS-11/15
Birds Eye Steamfresh Lightly Sauced vegetables and pasta, any bag .50/1 (11-28-09) SS-10/18
Birds Eye Steamfresh Meals, Buy 1 bag Get 1 FREE, up to $8.99 (11-28-09) SS-10/18

The most recent one does exclude steamfesh, that is why I only gave the info for the .35 10/18 b/c it does not exclude steamfresh. If you still have your 10/18 coupon you could use it!
I used all of mine last time. :(

Unknown said...

I did not find the $1/1 coupon for the Townhouse Flipsides on coupons.com, only a $1/2. Is there another coupon somewhere else or is this a typo?

Unknown said...

Has anyone seen the holiday collection of Coffee Mate creamers at Alberston's or know if they are included in the sale? Thanks!

ghuff5 said...

Here is another doubling idea.
On some of the Oroweat bread is $1 peelies good on any Oroweat item on them. The ones I bought were 1.89 so it was free with doublers. Previously I had a Oroweat bread coupon I wanted to use that was only good on a certain variety of bread but could never seem to find them. I found other Oroweat varieties but not the kind that the coupon was for. My point to this is not all of the Oroweat is right next to each other. Some are next to bagels and some are close to the buns.
Also on the same note, some of the varieties are BOGO. I picked those up because I preferred those over the others (not because of price because either way it would be free). At the register, one of my favorite cashiers was ringing me up and wouldn't let me use the coupon on the free item. He said they sent out letters 3 times today stating if it's a free item, you can't use a coupon on it. I can see not using a store doubler coupon but a manufacturer coupon doesn't make sense to me. So, it seems like the pie and ice cream rules now apply to everything. No coupons on free items. This is at Meridian & Fairview/Cherry.

I checked on the creamer tonight.

YES! They do have the holiday varieties: peppermint mocha, gingerbread, eggnog, pumpkin spice, carmel apple and a few others I am forgetting.

They were all on sale too! The big ones $2.49 and small ones were $2.29 I believe.

The holiday variety was not included in some of the big sizes.

Oh and the holiday ones were by the egg nog, not by the other creamers. At least at the 5/O STORE.

Tyree said...

flip side crakers for me were $1 off 2 didn't realize til checkout and had to put them all back and grab something else. The cream cheese was about $2.50 after tax for three. I figured one for 49cents and two for 88cents not to bad considering I needed it anyway.

Unknown said...

Monica, thanks so much for checking on the creamer!!
