FYI-I found a coupon on Coupons.com for $1.50 off any two packages of keebler cookie, making them an even better deal!

Coupon Queen -try 83709.

Lucas Fam - we haven't heard anything. I'm not feeling overly hopeful. Last week the Wednesday ad had a little line on it that said "Watch for Twice the Value coupons on Sunday". That was the first time they've put that there, so maybe it's absense on this weeks ad doesn't mean anything, but maybe it does! Ha ha! Oh how we analyze it all!

I will know about doublers tomorrow! :)

i haven't heard many people mention the 5 lb bag of potatoes for .79! I checked around yesterday and that is cheeper then Winco and Walmart, only .16 a lb!

Has anyone ever frozen pototoes? I'm thinking of cutting into 1 inch cubes, cooking for a few minutes then freeze...easy mashed potatoes. Do you think this will work?

Emilee - you're right. It is a good buy!

Monica, the queen of freezing food, commented on potatoes on this post: http://www.fabulesslyfrugal.com/2009/03/fabuless-freezer-cooking-getting-group.html

She says that raw potatoes don't freeze well. Of course, you are planning on cooking them first, so I don't know. But I do know they will last longer if they are kept in a cool dark place! I keep mine in my fridge.

Emilee- I am on vacation in Seattle so a little slow to respond!
When I have frozen raw potatoes they do get brown, but cooked potatoes do well. Just under cook them a little to prevent them from getting mushy. But if you are planning on mashing them anyway it should work out well.

Let us know what you do and how it turns out!

How weird! The Keebler coupon was not there for my 83713 zip code, but when I put in 83709 - there it was! Strange since 83709 zip is literally only one block from my house.

That IS weird! Ha ha!

There are doublers on Sunday but they are just in the newspaper. It is not an albertsons ad that you can get in the store. Sad for me cause I only get two papers! :( Just thought I would let you know!
