My Albertsons Shopping Trip Today

I ran to Overland/Orchard store today while my 3 year old was at preschool (he's my hardest kid right now!). I got these 16 items for $7.34. (An average of $.45 per item!)

Here is what I did...

Transaction #1:

So you know I'm preggo, and even though I did the whole Albertsons post, I didn't remember that it was 10 items (preggo brain here) that needed to be purchased in order to get the $10 instant savings. Luckily I realized this before I went to checkout. I debated about doing the deal since I would only be able to double three of the coupons. Let's just say I'm glad I did!

Total AFTER Preferred Savings: $25.00
- $10 Kellogg's Promo Instant Savings
- $1.00/1 Cinnabon IP
- $1.00/1 Cinnabon IP
- $1.00/1 Cinnabon IP
- $1.00/1 Kelloggs Cereal (found in my box of Frosted Flakes I purchased 2 months ago)
- $1.00/1 Keebler Fudgeshop Cookies IP
- $1.00/1 Keebler Fudgeshop Cookies IP
- $.55/1 Keebler Cookies IP
- $.55/1 Keebler Cookies IP
- $.55/1 Keebler Sandwhich Crackers IP
- $.55/1 Keebler Sandwhich Crackers IP
- $1.00 Doubler
- $1.00 Doubler
- $1.00 Doubler

= FINAL OOP (with tax) $4.52 (not to bad for 10 items!)

Transaction #2

Downy Fabric Softener $3.99
Coffeemate Creamer $1.67
Coffeemate Creamer $1.67
TOTAL: $7.33

- $1.00/1 Any Downy Fabric Softener 8/30 P&G
- $1.00/1 Coffeemate Creamer (IP no longer available - there is $1.50/2 IP or $.50/1 from 6/28, it does expire on the 28th!)
- $1.00/1 Coffeemate Creamer
- $1.00 Doubler
- $1.00 Doubler
- $1.00 Doubler

TOTAL OOP: $1.59 with tax

Transaction #3:

Yoplait Delights $2.49
Yoplait Delights $2.49
Rhodes Warm N Serve $2.69
TOTAL: $7.67

USED:
- $1.00/1 Yoplait Delights IP (my store let me double, although some will not)
- $1.00/1 Yoplait Delights IP (could also use: SS 9/13 or 8/23
- $1.00/1 Any Rhodes Frozen Dough - SS 7/19, 8/16, or 9/20
- $1.00 Doubler
- $1.00 Doubler
- $1.00 Doubler

TOTAL OOP: $1.95

Some may be thinking I sure got a lot of junk food. These cookies and crackers will be great to have when my boys need to provide snack for preschool or Kindergarten. The creamer will be used in our morning oatmeal, smoothies, and with fresh fruit! The Yoplait Delights are just that - DELIGHTFUL, and they are for me when I get my quiet time! I think I'm going to place an order for the Rhodes Dough. There are a million coupons between the three inserts they are in (of which I have multiple copies), and they belong in the freezer! So they'll last me a long time and go great with many dinners! The Pops is for my man... it's his favorite "sugar cereal". :) I'll be making more runs through this sale for:
- more fabric softener
- Dial Soap
- FREE Campbells Soup at Hand
- Fresh Pears (5&O has them 3 lb for $1)
- Maybe more cereal... I saw Overland/Orchard had a blinkie for $1/2 Any Kellogg's Cereal.

You can find more matchups and double ideas on my previous post!

No need to explain yourself when you do your deals! You get awesome deals and whatever you do with them is your own business...junk food or not! Way to go!!

I'm finding more cashiers won't let you say double the $1 cinabon coupon in full cause with the discount and coupon made it .50 so they only doubled it .50 I was kinda bummed this was at Cherry lane this morning. I guess I get it just woulda planned it different.
Are you finding any store to double the DND coupon in the area now?

I had the same experience at 5mile and Overland. They wouldn't let me use any doublers on items that would give me overage, even if it didn't say DND.

They should at least adjust the coupon down so you get it free. I would ask the cashier about that, and then even ask a manager. The store director Kathy is very nice at 5&O. And I've had many cashiers adjust down there for me!

lzjones - Just ask your grocery manager about making an order for the Rhodes. You'll want to do it today though, so the order comes in before the end of the sale!
