Food for Fines

I was at my local library yesterday and noticed a little nifty program they have going this week. It's called Food for Fines. Just bring in one can or box (ahem, cereal anyone?) of nonperishable food, and it will be worth $1 in overdue fines, up to a maximum of $10! A great way to help stock up the Idaho Food Bank, and also a great way to pay off those fines! This was at the Ada Community Library on Five Mile and Victory. Call your local library to see if they are participating! This is going on through Saturday the 18th.

I wish my library was doing this about 2 weeks ago. I just spent $12.00 in fines.

Woohoo, thanks Cathy. I love when they do this! I will be sure to make it by the library this week.

The meridian Library always does this. The only thing you can not use the food fines for our movies. I love taking in food when I forget to take back a book.
